This is the cookie policy for the SiteFlash website at siteflash.co.uk. It explains what cookies are and confirms that this website does not use them. Last updated: 1 October 2026
Who we are and what this policy covers
In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean SiteFlash. It covers the website at siteflash.co.uk. It does not cover the websites we build for our clients, which have their own policies.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so that it can recognise you or remember something about your visit. Similar technologies do a related job in other ways. Local storage keeps information inside your browser without a cookie. A pixel is a tiny invisible image or script that reports back to a third party when a page loads.
Cookies on this website
This website sets no cookies and uses no similar technologies. In particular:
- there are no analytics tools;
- there are no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind;
- there is no embedded third-party content, such as maps or videos from other services;
- the site does not use local storage;
- the fonts are served from our own domain, not from a third party;
- there is no newsletter sign-up.
Nothing is stored on your device by this website, and nothing on your device is read by it.
Why there is no cookie banner
You will not see a cookie banner on this website, and that is deliberate. The cookie rules in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 apply where a website stores information on your device or reads information already stored there. This website does neither. There is nothing to consent to, so there is nothing to ask you.
Server logs are not cookies
When you open a page, our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., receives your IP address, details of your browser, the address of the page you asked for and the time. Every website is delivered this way. It happens through ordinary server logs, not through anything stored on your device. Those logs are personal data, so we explain them in our privacy policy.
The enquiry form
When you send the enquiry form, your browser sends what you typed to the service that emails it to us, and to our own server. No cookie is set when this happens, and nothing is saved in your browser. Our privacy policy explains who receives the form and what they do with it.
Paying through Stripe
Our clients pay through Stripe. The payment link takes you away from this website to a checkout page on Stripe's own site. That page sets Stripe's own cookies, which Stripe controls under its own cookie and privacy policies. Those cookies are not set by this website and are not set while you are on it.
Links to other websites
This website links to other websites, including our clients' websites, Google Maps and the sources we cite in our articles. When you follow one of those links you leave this website. The site you arrive at may set cookies under its own policy, which we do not control.
How to control cookies in your browser
Because this website sets no cookies, there is nothing here to block or delete, and blocking cookies will not change how it works. You can still decide how every website treats cookies through your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security.
- Apple Safari: on a Mac, Safari, then Settings, then Privacy. On an iPhone or iPad, the Settings app, then Safari.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings, then the cookies and site permissions options.
Menus change between versions. If you cannot find the setting, search for "cookies" in your browser's help pages.
If this changes in future
We may one day add a feature that stores or reads information on your device, such as visitor statistics or an embedded map. If we do, we will update this policy before anything changes, so that it says what is set, by whom, for what purpose and for how long. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it first and set nothing until you agree. Our privacy policy would be updated at the same time.
